About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead WordPress & PHP Developer with AI expertise to join our dynamic, fully remote team. This is a long-term, full-time position designed for an experienced developer who excels in custom WordPress and PHP development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality web solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with AI tools and platforms, integrating AI-driven functionalities into web applications to enhance user experience and search engine performance.

You will be responsible for leading complex projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior developers.

Your role will involve developing custom themes, plugins, and functionalities, converting static HTML/CSS designs into fully responsive Elementor websites, and optimizing websites for performance, security, and AI search readiness.

Qualifications The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 7+ years of extensive experience in PHP and WordPress development. Proficiency in Core PHP, object-oriented PHP, and frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or CakePHP is essential. Strong expertise in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins, along with advanced knowledge of WordPress hooks, filters, custom post types, taxonomies, and custom fields, is required.





Experience with WooCommerce customization and Elementor (including Elementor Pro) is mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to convert HTML/CSS designs into functional Elementor websites while maintaining responsiveness and performance. Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, and other AI platforms, along with experience in AI-assisted coding, debugging, and testing, is critical.

Additionally, a solid understanding of SEO, AEO, structured data, schema markup, and technical SEO fundamentals is necessary. Knowledge of REST API integration, web security best practices, and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) is also required. Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in Tamil as an added advantage, are preferred.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Lead WordPress & PHP Developer, your core responsibilities will include leading the development and maintenance of custom WordPress websites, including themes, plugins, and WooCommerce functionalities. You will build, enhance, and support applications using Core PHP and frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter, or CakePHP.

Your role involves converting static HTML/CSS designs into fully editable, responsive Elementor websites, creating reusable templates, sections, and components while ensuring optimal page speed and Core Web Vitals compliance. You will implement advanced front-end features using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards.

Further, you will optimize websites for AI-driven search engines (AEO/SEO), incorporating structured data, schema markup, and semantic HTML to improve visibility. Your expertise will be vital in integrating third-party APIs, CRMs,



payment gateways, and external platforms securely and efficiently. You will ensure adherence to web security standards, perform code reviews, and maintain development best practices.

Collaborating closely with project managers, digital marketing teams, and clients, you will translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, estimate effort, manage workloads, and ensure timely project delivery. Mentoring junior developers and supporting the team in adopting recent technologies and AI tools will also be part of your role.
