We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Wire Cutter Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating wire cutting machines to produce wires of specified lengths and quantities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and production specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Set up and operate wire-cutting equipment according to specifications.
· Cut, strip, and label wires based on production orders and blueprints.
· Inspect wire for quality and consistency; report any defects or irregularities.
· Use measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, tape measures) to verify lengths and tolerances.
· Maintain accurate records of production output and scrap material.
· Perform minor machine maintenance and report major issues to maintenance staff.
· Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
· Keep the work area clean and organized.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or production workplace (wire cutting preferred).
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
· Basic math and measurement skills.
· Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with wire processing equipment.
· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
· Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with automated or CNC wire cutting machines.
· Knowledge of different wire types (e.g., copper, aluminum, insulated wire).
· Familiarity with crimping, stripping, and wire harness assembly is a plus.
