Role & responsibilities

- Manage daily production activities in the Weld Shop / Robotic Welding section.
- Monitor robotic welding machines, welding fixtures and production lines.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan.
- Monitor MIG/spot/robotic welding processes and ensure proper parameters are maintained.
- Handle manpower allocation and optimize workforce utilization.
- Monitor rejection, rework, downtime and production losses and take corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC and Stores for smooth production flow.
- Ensure proper availability of raw material, components, fixtures and tools.
- Maintain production records, daily reports and relevant shop-floor documentation.
- Follow 5S, safety, quality and standard operating procedures on the shop floor.
- Identify process issues and support continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure proper inspection of welded components and adherence to customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot basic production/process-related issues and coordinate with Maintenance wherever required.
