Role: ServiceNow CMDB Discovery Location: Kochi, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai Exp: 5-10 yrs Mode of interview : virtual Must Have Skills: ServiceNow CMDB Strong understanding of CI classes, relationships, identification and reconciliation, data certification, lifecycle controls and CMDB Health concepts. ServiceNow Discovery Hands-on experience with horizontal Discovery, schedules, credentials, MID Servers, patterns, classification and troubleshooting. Platform Configuration Practical ability to configure forms, lists, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, flows, import sets and transform maps where needed for CMDB operations. Infrastructure Fundamentals Working knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix, networking, databases, web servers, virtualization and cloud concepts sufficient to troubleshoot discovery. Scripting & Integration Working knowledge of JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, data imports and integration concepts relevant to ServiceNow. Data Quality & Governance Ability to analyse completeness, compliance and correctness issues, identify root causes and coordinate remediation. Troubleshooting Robust log analysis, systematic problem isolation and root-cause analysis across ServiceNow, MID Server and target infrastructure layers. Key Responsibilities Own day-to-day administration, configuration and enhancement of ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery capabilities. Configure and maintain Discovery schedules, credentials,



MID Servers, patterns, probes, sensors and related platform components. Monitor Discovery execution, investigate errors and resolve issues involving access, connectivity, credentials, firewalls, patterns and classification. Manage CI classes, attributes, relationships, identification rules and reconciliation behavior in line with the agreed CMDB model. Partner with infrastructure and application teams to onboard new technologies, environments and data sources into the CMDB. Improve CMDB data quality through health dashboards, exception analysis, duplicate reduction, stale CI remediation and ownership follow-up. Support alignment of CMDB structures with the Common Service Data Model and organizational service-management requirements. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and operational metrics covering Discovery performance and CMDB health. Plan, test and deploy platform changes through controlled development, test and production promotion processes. Create and maintain technical designs, support procedures, runbooks, knowledge articles and configuration records. Provide technical guidance during incidents, problems, changes, audits and service-impact analysis where CI data is required. Collaborate with ServiceNow developers, administrators, architects and process owners to ensure scalable and supportable solutions.
