Qualification & Experience

- Recognized Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD/MS) Mandatory for the position.
- The PG qualification should be from a recognized institution and recognized by NMC.
- The candidate must have valid medical registration as applicable.
- Relevant experience in a medical college/teaching hospital/hospital administration is preferred.

Hospital Operations

- Overall supervision and coordination of hospital clinical services.
- Ensure smooth functioning of OPD, IPD, Emergency, ICU, OT, diagnostics and other clinical departments.
- Monitor patient care, clinical service delivery and hospital workflow.
- Coordinate with HODs, consultants, nursing and allied healthcare departments.
- Ensure adequate deployment of doctors, nurses and other clinical manpower.

B. Medical & Clinical Governance

- Ensure compliance with applicable NMC, NABH and statutory requirements.
- Monitor clinical protocols, hospital policies and patient-care standards.
- Coordinate implementation of clinical quality and patient-safety initiatives.
- Review clinical incidents, complaints and corrective/preventive actions.
- Facilitate coordination between clinical and non-clinical departments.

C. Medical College Coordination

- Coordinate hospital requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
- Support clinical teaching, training and availability of clinical material for students/residents.
- Coordinate with Dean/Principal and HODs regarding academic and hospital requirements.
- Ensure hospital facilities support NMC requirements for medical education.

D. Quality & Accreditation

- Coordinate hospital preparedness for NMC inspections/assessments.
- Support NABH implementation, audits and compliance.
- Ensure maintenance of required medical records, registers, reports and documentation.
- Monitor closure of audit observations and corrective actions.

E. Human Resources & Manpower

- Assess clinical manpower requirements in coordination with HR and HODs.




- Participate in recruitment and selection of doctors and key clinical personnel.
- Monitor attendance, duty rosters and deployment of clinical staff.
- Address clinical staff grievances and disciplinary matters in coordination with HR.

F. Patient Care & Safety

- Monitor patient safety and quality of care.
- Review patient complaints and coordinate appropriate resolution.
- Ensure emergency services and critical clinical services function effectively.
- Monitor infection prevention and control practices.
- Coordinate implementation of hospital safety and emergency preparedness measures.

G. Administration & Coordination

- Coordinate with CEO/Director/Principal/Dean and other senior management.
- Conduct regular meetings with clinical departments.
- Review departmental performance and operational issues.
- Coordinate with Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, Blood Bank, CSSD, OT, Nursing and other support services.
- Prepare and submit periodic hospital performance reports to management.
