1. Manage regular import operations processes including demand forecast coordination, order placement, vendor coordination, documentation and customs clearance.
2. Continuously improve systems and processes to keep reducing import costs, while improving import timelines in parallel.
3. Closely engage with international manufacturers across China, Korea and European countries on a day-to-day basis, to build deeper supplier relationships.
4. Identify and evaluate new manufacturers as necessary, when launching products in current categories, through Alibaba and other sources.
5. Work closely with finance teams to manage payment processes, and to ensure proper documentation for imports.
6. Collaborate with legal, compliance and finance teams as necessary, to ensure perfect compliance for all imports.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Any degree, with very good communication skills
- 2-10 years experience in managing end-to-end imports through air and sea, in any organization.
- Candidates with experience in import/export agencies would be an ideal fit. Experience in medical/dental devices imports will be a plus. SKILLS REQUIRED
- Excellent communication skills and inter-personal skills to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and deliver results consistently.
- Good time management skills, to handle several issues in parallel, without compromising on the quality of solutions offered
- Basic comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel. Word, etc).
