We are looking for an experienced Multi-State Residential Title Examiner with strong knowledge of residential real estate title examination and title insurance requirements. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of independently reviewing title records across multiple states.

Role & responsibilities

- Conduct national title examinations for residential real property.
- Abstract and analyze deeds, deeds of trust/mortgages, easements, judgments, tax assessments, mineral reservations, and other applicable instruments.
- Verify ownership and identify liens, encumbrances, and other matters affecting title to real property.
- Determine title insurability requirements and identify items requiring clearance or further review.
- Review and quality-check title grade sheets for completeness and accuracy of documentation.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and skilled title reports.
- Review completed reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable requirements.
- Analyze legal descriptions, including sectional and metes-and-bounds descriptions.
- Review surveys and other supporting documentation as required for title examination.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations related to title insurance policy premiums and other title-related tasks.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams to meet productivity, quality,



and turnaround-time expectations.

Job Requirements

- Experience with multiple states is preferred.
- No title license is required.
- Strong working knowledge of fundamental real estate title concepts and title examination processes.
- Working knowledge of legal documents and their impact on title to real property.
- Familiarity with title insurance commitments and policy formats, including the procedures involved in preparing them.
- Experience with abstracting, title examination, survey analysis, and related title research.
- Familiarity with sectional and metes-and-bounds legal descriptions.
- Foreclosure title experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a high-volume, productivity-driven environment.
- Ability to identify title issues, discrepancies, and potential risks through detailed document review.
- Ability to manage tasks independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.

Educational & Experience Requirements

- 2+ years of residential title examination experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally.
