Immediate Requires for Full Time Intensivist for their Critical Care Department.

Role & responsibilities

- Job Summary
- We are looking for a qualified and experienced Intensivist to join our Critical Care Department. The candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to critically ill patients, managing ICU emergencies, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high standards of patient safety and clinical care.
- Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical management and supervision of critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Assess, diagnose, stabilize, and manage patients with life-threatening conditions.
- Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation, vasopressors, invasive monitoring, and other critical care interventions.
- Conduct regular ICU rounds and monitor patient progress.
- Manage medical emergencies, cardiac arrest, shock, sepsis, respiratory failure, and multi-organ dysfunction.
- Perform or supervise critical care procedures such as central line insertion, arterial line placement, intubation, and airway management, as per competency.




- Coordinate with consultants, surgeons, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure appropriate investigation, treatment, medication, and escalation of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients' attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, prognosis, and ICU-related procedures.
- Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation and medical records.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection-control practices, patient-safety standards, and clinical guidelines.
- Participate in ICU quality-improvement activities, audits, mortality reviews, and clinical meetings.
- Ensure rational use of antibiotics, blood products, and other critical-care resources.
- Guide and train junior doctors, residents, and ICU nursing staff when required.

Preferred candidate profile

- IDCCM/EDIC in Critical Care Medicine, or relevant specialty.
- Valid medical registration.
- Relevant ICU/Critical Care experience preferred.
- ACLS/BLS certification preferred.
