Role Overview

The VP – Operations will own Gravton Motors end-to-end operations across Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Vehicle Development, and Powertrain, with a focus on scaling operations, driving quality and cost efficiency, leading product industrialization and production ramp-up, and building scalable systems and teams.

The role will work closely with the Founders, Engineering, R&D;, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to drive operational excellence and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end Operations across Production, Quality, SCM, Vehicle Development, and Powertrain.

- Drive manufacturing strategy, production planning, capacity expansion, productivity, and operational efficiency.

- Build robust processes, systems, SOPs, governance, and operational KPIs.

- Lead sourcing, supplier development, localization, inventory, logistics, and cost optimization.

- Establish strong quality systems across incoming materials, manufacturing, vehicle development, validation, and field performance.

- Drive new product development, industrialization, and production readiness.

- Strengthen the supplier ecosystem through development, localization, capacity planning, and quality improvement.

- Drive continuous improvement across cost, quality, delivery,



productivity, and scalability.

- Build and lead a strong operations team with a culture of ownership, accountability, and execution.

- Partner with the Founders to translate business strategy into operational plans and measurable outcomes.

- Ensure operational readiness for new products, production ramp-ups, capacity expansion, and business growth.

Qualification & Experience

- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, or Electronics.

- 15+ years of automotive/OEM experience, with strong exposure to 2-wheelers, EVs, or electric mobility.

- Proven leadership across Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Vehicle Development, Engineering, and/or Powertrain.

- Strong experience in NPD, industrialization, production scale-up, supplier development, localization, and cost optimization, with a proven track record of building teams, systems, and processes in high-growth automotive environments.

- Robust business acumen, leadership, stakeholder management, and execution skills.

- Experience in greenfield projects and startup environments, with the ability to build operations, teams, systems, and processes from the ground up.
