A SEBI-registered Category I merchant banking and investment banking firm is hiring senior ECM / merchant banking professionals into its leadership team, reporting to the CEO. Positions open at VP and President level.

The role drives ECM origination, mandate acquisition and revenue, and strengthens senior-level relationships with promoters, founders, CXOs and capital-market intermediaries.

Key responsibilities

- Lead origination of Mainboard IPO, SME IPO, QIP, Rights Issue, Preferential Issue and other equity fundraising mandates
- Own the ECM pipeline, mandate acquisition and revenue growth
- Build senior relationships with promoters, founders, CXOs and business owners across sectors
- Expand the ecosystem of Chartered Accountants, merchant bankers, investment bankers, corporate lawyers, financial advisors, PE / VC funds and family offices




- Independently lead discussions from chance identification to mandate conversion; lead senior pitches, proposals and fee negotiations
- Advise promoters on IPO readiness, capital-raising strategy and transaction positioning
- Ensure seamless handover to ECM execution, legal and compliance teams
- Build, mentor and lead the origination team; work directly with the CEO on ECM strategy and large mandates

Must have: a demonstrable track record of originating and converting IPO / ECM mandates and generating revenue independently. Entrepreneurial, ownership-driven operators preferred. Title will be aligned to experience and track record.
