nJob Summary:

nResponsible for the pre & post fixture operations of Dry bulk vessels

n

nTask & Responsibilities:

n1) Assist the Chartering Department in collating the information required by customers during the pre-fixture negotiations. The information required may include:

n

n
- Details of the vessel specifications
n
- Cargo carrying capabilities
n
- Performance history of the vessel
n
- Assessing suitability for the trade & Vessel scheduling
n
- Cargo hold readiness
n
- Estimated Voyage Costs
n
- Port specific information
n

n2) Execution of Voyage:

n

n
- Thorough in Voyage planning & voyage orders for Master, including maximizing on cargo intake and bunker requirements etc.
n
- To liaise and coordinate with Brokers, Charterers, Owners, Agents, Internal departments on efficient & to facilitate execution of the voyage on a 24/7 basis.
n
- Monitor ships performance at sea.
n




- Liaising with accounting and preparing summary of outstanding, receivables.
n
- Ensure collection of all receivables to improve cash flow.
n
- Contest / defend and negotiate claims.
n
- Thorough understanding of the voyage Profit & Loss account.
n

n3) Bunkering & Vessel Optimisation:

n

n
- To ascertain that the vessel optimizes cargo intakes & to ensure vessel is sufficiently bunkered.
n
- To coordinate with weather routing services & ensure vessel is following optimal sea route.
n

n4) Internal & External Liaison:

n

n
- To negotiate & appoint port agents, plan bunkers stem as per grades permissible to trading areas.
n
- To bill for freight and other charterers claims and coordinate with post fixture group.
n
- Post fixture inputs to Claims Coordinators
n
- Review and approval of Port Disbursement accounts.
n
- Record keeping and Data Management in company systems
n

nQualification & Experience:

n

n
1. Minimum (5 - 6) years’ experience in commercial operations
n
2. Seagoing experience in the management position on Dry Bulk vessels.
n

n

nKnowledge & Skills:

n

n
1. Strong experience in pre-fixture operations
n
2. The candidate should be able to work independently & also feel comfortable collaborating & communicating across all levels of the organization.
n
3. Good at negotiations and communications.
n
4. Experience in IMOS operating system.
n
5. Need to be pro-active rather reactive in nature
