SparkSeed Ventures is a SEBI-registered Category II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) and venture studio backing early-stage founders building for Tier 2 and Tier 3 India. Beyond capital, we work hands-on with our portfolio companies on strategy, branding, and storytelling - which means our own content and brand presence have to be sharp, consistent, and founder-grade.

ROLE SUMMARY

We're looking for a fresher Video Editor to turn raw footage into polished, platform-ready videos, founder interviews, reels, LinkedIn content, event recaps, and investor-facing material. You'll work closely with our videographer and content team to shape footage into videos that are sharp, on-brand, and built for how each platform is actually watched. The founder and manager lead content strategy and direction, so you won't need to conceptualize content from scratch; what matters most is being a strong team player who executes direction well while proactively bringing fresh ideas, formats, or trends you notice along the way.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Edit raw footage into finished videos for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and internal/investor use.
- Add motion graphics, text overlays, subtitles/captions, transitions, and background sound/music.
- Color correct and color grade footage for a consistent, polished look across videos.
- Sync audio, clean up sound quality, and balance levels for interviews and voiceovers.
- Work with the videographer and content team to align every edit with SparkSeed's brand voice and visual style.
- Repurpose long-form footage into short-form cuts (Reels, Shorts) optimized for each platform's format and aspect ratio.
- Organize and maintain a clean library of raw and edited files with proper version control.
- Turn around edits within agreed timelines, incorporating feedback quickly.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Diploma/degree in Mass Communication, Film Editing,



Multimedia, or a related field, or an equivalent portfolio built outside a formal course.
- Working knowledge of at least one editing tool: Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects, or CapCut.
- A demo reel or portfolio showing edited work (student projects, freelance, or personal work are welcome).
- An understanding of pacing, storytelling, and platform-specific formats (Reels, Shorts, LinkedIn native video).
- Basic knowledge of color correction, audio syncing, and captioning.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple edits/deadlines at once.
- Comfortable working on-site in Bangalore.
- Strong team player who can take clear direction and execute reliably. Content strategy and planning are led by the founder and manager, so you're not expected to conceptualize content from scratch.
- A proactive mindset: comfortable suggesting fresh ideas, formats, or trends you notice (for example, on Instagram) from time to time, while following the agreed content direction.

GOOD TO HAVE (NOT MANDATORY)

- Basic motion graphics or animation skills (After Effects).
- Familiarity with Canva or similar tools for thumbnails and static assets.
- Understanding of YouTube/social SEO and platform optimization.
- Own laptop capable of running editing software.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS

- Probation period: 6 months from the date of joining (standard market practice).
- Confirmation: employment is confirmed as permanent upon successful completion of the probation period.
- Notice period: 30 days from either side, applicable after confirmation of employment.
