Background We are now seeking an experienced Video Editor to work remotely for one of our Clients. An experienced architectural draftsperson or design architect in Australia prepares precise working and construction drawings from initial concepts, ensuring total compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards.

Job Title: Remote Video Editor (DaVinci Resolve Specialist)

- Location: Fully Remote (Preference for candidates based in or familiar with Australia for cultural and regional context)
- Job Type: Contract / Freelance (Part-Time or Project-Based)
- Software Requirement: Advanced proficiency in DaVinci Resolve Studio (including Fusion for motion graphics and Fairlight for basic audio, preferred).

Role Overview We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Remote Video Editor to bring raw footage shot across diverse Australian landscapes and urban environments to life. You will manage end-to-end post-production, transforming high-resolution camera and drone footage into compelling narrative and promotional content.

The ideal candidate knows how to handle 4K proxy workflows, craft engaging pacing,



and apply qualified colour grading native to DaVinci Resolve to match our cinematic or digital-first style.

Key Responsibilities

- Video Editing: Assemble raw multi-camera footage, B-roll, and drone sequences into polished short-form and long-form videos.
- Colour Grading: Perform primary and secondary colour correction and grading within DaVinci Resolve to maintain a consistent, high-end visual tone.
- Sound Design: Clean dialogue, balance audio levels, and select appropriate sound effects (SFX) and royalty-free tracks using Fairlight.
- Motion Graphics & Text: Implement clean lower thirds, subtitles, captions, and dynamic text animations using DaVinci Fusion.
- Workflow Management: Organize project files, sync audio/video, manage proxy workflows efficiently, and export deliverables according to precise platform specifications (YouTube, Instagram, or broadcast).
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively via Slack/Zoom with our remote directors, producers, and crew based in Australia.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional video editing experience in commercial, documentary, travel, or digital media fields.
- Software Mastery: Expert-level capability in DaVinci Resolve (nodes, Fusion page basics, and colour wheels). Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects is a bonus.
- Technical Setup: A high-performance computer setup and high-speed broadband internet capable of handling heavy 4K file transfers and remote reviews.
- Storytelling & Pacing: A strong visual eye for rhythm, emotional pacing, and audience retention—specifically tailoring cuts for Australian and global audiences.
- Cultural Context: Familiarity with Australian geography, culture, or lifestyle and travel content is highly advantageous.
