Credfino LLP is looking for an experienced US Tax Reviewer Individual Returns to join its Tax Review team. The role involves reviewing and finalizing US Individual Tax Returns (Form 1040) prepared by tax professionals, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US federal and state tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and finalize Form 1040 Individual Tax Returns and related schedules including A, B, C, D, E and SE.

- Review supporting documents such as W-2s, 1099s, 1098s, K-1s and other financial information.

- Verify deductions, credits, dependents and filing statuses as per IRS regulations.

- Identify errors, inconsistencies and compliance issues and provide clear review comments.

- Review federal and multi-state tax filings, amended returns, extensions and estimated tax payments.

- Coordinate with tax preparers, clients and senior tax professionals to resolve complex cases.

- Maintain review documentation and quality-control records.

- Assist in training and mentoring tax preparers.

- Stay updated with US tax laws, IRS updates and filing requirements.

- Support the team in meeting deadlines during the US tax season.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting,



Finance, Commerce or related field.

- 4-6 years of experience in preparing and reviewing US Individual Tax Returns (Form 1040).

- Solid knowledge of US taxation, IRS regulations, deductions, credits and residency rules.

- Hands-on experience with tax software such as Drake, Lacerte, UltraTax, ProSeries or ProConnect.

- Strong MS Excel and MS Office skills.

- Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple reviews within strict deadlines.

Preferred

- EA, CPA or PTIN certification.

- Experience with US CPA firms or tax outsourcing firms.

- Exposure to multi-state or expatriate tax returns.

- Working knowledge of QuickBooks.

- Exposure to automation or AI-assisted tax review tools.
