UI/UX Designer Intern Design | Vashi, Navi Mumbai (On-site) | 3-Month Internship

INTERNSHIP STRUCTURE

Duration: 3 months, on-site. Conversion: Performance during the internship is reviewed at the end of the term. Strong performers are converted to a full-time role at Arcitech AI; this is not automatic and is assessed against the same bar as our full-time hires for this function.

Prior project experience (academic, personal, freelance, hackathon, or open-source) directly relevant to this role is required to be considered — we are not hiring purely on academic credentials with no applied work to show.

Role Overview

Arcitech AI is looking for a UI/UX Designer Intern to join our in-house design team, working in Figma alongside our senior product designers across our SaaS portfolio. You will get exposure to both UX (flows, research, IA) and UI (visual craft, design systems), on real product surfaces. Strong performers over the 3-





month term will be considered for a full-time UI/UX Designer role.

You should already be comfortable designing in Figma and have at least one design project — a personal case study, a college project, or freelance work — that shows real design thinking, not just visual polish. We will build your product-design depth on the job; we expect the tool fluency and design instincts already in place.

Responsibilities

- Assist in designing wireframes, flows, and high-fidelity screens in Figma, under the guidance of a senior

designer.
- Contribute to and follow our existing design systems and component libraries — learning consistency

across a product portfolio, not just single screens.
- Support basic user research and usability observations, and help translate findings into design

decisions.
- Prepare clean, organized design files for developer handoff and learn to reason about front-end

constraints (components, responsive behavior).
- Get exposure to designing for AI-driven product surfaces — chat interfaces, loading/uncertainty states,

and similar.
- Present and defend your design decisions in reviews with senior designers.
- Own the design of one small feature or screen end-to-end during the internship, as a basis for your

conversion evaluation.

Qualifications

- Pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science,



or a related field (or

equivalent demonstrated skill).
- 0–1 years of skilled experience — internships, coursework, and self-driven projects all count.
- Mandatory: a Figma portfolio with at least one real UI/UX project you can walk us through — personal,

academic, freelance, or a structured case study. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

Skills

- Working knowledge of Figma — frames, components, basic auto-layout.
- Basic understanding of UX fundamentals — user flows, wireframing, information architecture.
- An eye for visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, and layout.
- Willingness to take and act on design critique.
- Curiosity about how designs get built — basic awareness of front-end constraints is a plus.
- Clear communication — able to explain the thinking behind your design choices, not just the visuals.

Nice to Have

- Exposure to AI design tools (Figma AI, Uizard, or similar).
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
- Any exposure to designing for SaaS, dashboards, or B2B products.

Other Details This is a 3-month, on-site internship based at our Vashi, Navi Mumbai office. You will be mentored directly by our senior product design team.

Compensation
