PaceDefence Systems is hiring an experienced UAV Systems Engineer to join our growing defence technology team at IIT Ropar.

We are looking for a hands-on engineer passionate about building and deploying next-generation UAV systems for defence and strategic applications.

Key Responsibilities

- UAV system integration across avionics, propulsion, flight controls, communication systems, and payloads
- Flight controller configuration, tuning, and mission validation (PX4 / Ardupilot)
- Payload integration including EO/IR, telemetry, RF systems, and mission equipment
- Ground testing, flight trials, debugging, and performance optimization
- Support rapid prototyping, field deployments, and product development

Desired Skills
- Experience with UAV systems (Fixed Wing / VTOL / Hybrid)




- Knowledge of PX4, Ardupilot, Mission Planner, MAVLink, QGroundControl
- Robust troubleshooting and systems engineering mindset
- Exposure to avionics, embedded systems, RF, or aerospace systems preferred
- Defence / UAV startup experience is a plus
