Job Overview

​We are seeking a hands-on, highly skilled Controls & Electrical Maintenance Engineer to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot complex industrial automation systems and high-power site distribution. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping critical machinery running, optimizing multi-axis servo systems, programming/debugging PLCs, and maintaining heavy power assets including step-up/step-down transformers and backup diesel or turbine generators.

​Key Responsibilities

​1. PLC Architecture & Programming

​Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC logic (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagrams) across platforms such as Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, CompactLogix), Siemens (S7-1200/1500), or Omron/Mitsubishi.

​Configure industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/RTU, PROFIBUS) for field devices, remote I/O, and HMIs.

​Perform online/offline code debugging, backup management, and firmware updates for critical machine controllers.

​2. Servo & Motion Control Integration

​Setup, tune, and troubleshoot multi-axis servo drives, amplifiers, and motors (e.g., Kinetix, Sinamics, Yaskawa).

​Calibrate position encoders, resolvers, line speed synchronizations, registered index cuts, and torque limits for high-speed production lines.

​Diagnose motion alarms, tracking errors, mechanical binding, and encoder feedback faults to minimize cycle delays.

​3. Power Distribution: Transformers & Generators

​Manage operation, preventative maintenance, and testing for facility transformers (dry-type and oil-filled) and main distribution switchgear.

​Oversee site power generation systems, automatic transfer switches (ATS), diesel generators,



and synchronization panels for main power failure conditions.

​Conduct insulation resistance testing (Megger), oil sampling, thermal imaging, and load bank testing on power transformers and standby generators.

​4. Advanced Diagnostics & Plant Troubleshooting

​Lead real-time electrical troubleshooting during production line breakdowns to minimize unscheduled downtime.

​Use diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, power quality analyzers, multimeter, line tracers) to isolate sensor failures, ground faults, power dips, and noise interference.

​Implement corrective actions and root-cause failure analysis (RCFA) to prevent recurring electrical and automation issues.

​Key Requirements

​Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Instrument Tech.

​Experience: 5+ years of hands-on industrial plant experience with automation machinery and power systems.

​PLC & HMI Proficiency: Proficient in reading and modifying PLC code and HMI screens under breakdown conditions.

​Motion Experience: Practical knowledge of closed-loop servo control, PID tuning, drive parameterization, and feedback loops.

​Power Systems: Solid understanding of 3-phase high/medium/low voltage systems, transformers, circuit breakers, and industrial generators.

​Schematics: Mastery of electrical single-line diagrams (SLD), industrial control panel schematics, and P&ID; drawings.

​Preferred Qualifications

​Direct experience with industrial packaging, continuous processing, or heavy manufacturing machinery lines.

​Certifications in high-voltage safety, NFPA 70E / arc flash safety practices, or Certified Motion Control Specialist (CMCS).

​Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), soft starters, and UPS systems.
