The role involves designing, building, and testing drone systems.ResponsibilitiesDesign drone airframes, components, and mounts in CADPrototype and assemble drone parts and complete systemsIntegrate and test motors, ESCs, flight controllers, sensors, and power systemsConfigure, tune, and troubleshoot flight control software using ArduPilot and PX4Carry out bench and flight testing, analyse flight logs, and improve designsRequirementsMinimum 5 years of production workplace experience in the drone / UAV sectorHands-on experience designing and assembling drone partsCAD design skills (e.G. SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)Working knowledge of ArduPilot and PX4Experience with electronics integration, wiring, and solderingCreative, out-of-the-box approach to problem solvingDesirableValid drone pilot licenceFamiliarity with MAVLink, ROS, or companion computers such as Rpi, Nano.Minimum QualificationAerospace/Mechatronics engineering degree required
