Manufacture and maintain sheet metal press tools, dies, and fixtures . Read and understand engineering drawings and tool drawings . Perform fitting, grinding, drilling, milling and other tool-room operations .
Carry out die repair, modification and maintenance as required. Identify and rectify problems related to tool wear, burrs, dimensional variation and component quality . Support production during tool setting and die trials .
Conduct tool trials and make necessary corrections to achieve required component dimensions. Maintain proper tool condition and tool life . Coordinate with the Production and Quality teams to resolve tooling-related issues.
Carry out preventive maintenance of dies and press tools. Maintain proper records of tool repairs, modifications and maintenance . Ensure tools are completed within the required quality and production timelines .
