General Manager – Study Abroad Sales & Operations
Location: Kochi, Kerala
Full-time | On-site | Senior Leadership Role
Salve Maria is looking for an experienced senior professional to lead our Study Abroad sales and counselling operations.
The role requires a strong leader who can take ownership of business performance, lead experienced teams, establish accountability and drive consistent improvement in sales and student recruitment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and steer the performance of Study Abroad sales and counselling teams.
- Drive business targets, conversions and overall sales performance.
- Establish clear accountability and performance expectations across teams.
- Review individual, team and branch performance and initiate appropriate action where required.
- Strengthen Team Leaders and ensure effective performance management.
- Improve sales processes, follow-up systems and overall productivity.
- Work closely with Management on business performance, growth and operational priorities.
- Gradually take ownership of the day-to-day management and performance review of the sales organisation.
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of total professional experience – Mandatory




- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Study Abroad / Overseas Education industry – Mandatory
- Proven experience in leading sales/counselling teams and managing business targets and performance.
- Strong understanding of the Study Abroad student recruitment business.
- Demonstrated ability in sales leadership, people management and performance management.
- Strong analytical, communication and decision-making abilities.
- Mature, commercially oriented and result-focused leadership approach.
- Currently based in Kerala and available to work full-time from Kochi.
Experience from other industries will also be considered valuable where the candidate has held substantial senior-level sales and people-management responsibilities, provided the mandatory Study Abroad industry experience is met.
The Person We Are Looking For:
We are looking for someone who can bring leadership, structure, accountability and performance orientation to an experienced team and progressively take substantial responsibility for steering the organisation's sales function.
Previous designation is less significant than the scale of responsibility handled and demonstrated leadership capability.
