About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with a robust background in connected device validation, IoT protocol testing, and hardware-software integration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in building automation frameworks, managing physical lab environments, and validating embedded systems and industrial IoT solutions at scale.

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n

- Design, set up, and maintain physical device labs for automated testing of embedded systems, IoT gateways, and edge devices.

/n

- Develop and enhance Python-based automation frameworks to orchestrate multi-device test beds, simulate high-volume data streams, and capture device telemetry.

/n

- Execute end-to-end validation of industrial IoT solutions, including HVAC systems, building management systems, and smart infrastructure across global deployments.

/n

- Integrate and test IoT protocols such as MQTT, BACnet, Modbus, and WiFi Direct, ensuring comprehensive command-response and data integrity checks.

/n

- Implement automated test suites for protocol, UI, and system-level validation using tools like PyTest, Mobly, Pixel Pilot, Appium, and YAML.

/n

- Build robust telemetry pipelines to collect, correlate, and analyze system logs, screenshots, and video buffers for rapid root-cause analysis.

/n

- Orchestrate CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI) for parallel execution of automated tests across distributed device farms.

/n

- Program robotic arm automation for endurance and deployment testing of foldable and mechanical devices.

/n

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) scenarios, identify defects, and optimize system reliability.

/n

- Maintain code quality, test coverage,



and documentation for all automation frameworks and testbeds.

/n

- Support integration testing and validation in high-reliability, safety-critical environments (e.g., oil rigs, smart buildings).

/n

/n

Technical Skills & Experience

/n

/n

- 6-8 years of experience in automation engineering, device validation, and IoT protocol testing.

/n

- Strong hands-on knowledge of Python automation frameworks (PyTest), multi-device orchestration, and testbed setup.

/n

- Experience with industrial protocols: MQTT, BACnet, Modbus, WiFi Direct, RCS/SMS/MMS.

/n

- Proficiency in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), device telemetry collection, and command-response validation.

/n

- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI), Linux/Ubuntu, and log analysis tools (Logcat, OCR/computer vision).

/n

- Experience with lab and hardware automation: device farm management, HVAC/BMS systems, robotic arms, sensor simulation.

/n

- Expertise in test automation tools: Mobly, Pixel Pilot, Appium, ADB, YAML, Bash.

/n

- Background in distributed system testing, protocol analyzers, and real-world device integration.

/n

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; track record of defect identification and system optimization.

/n

- Recognized for high-quality delivery and achieving defect-free releases in demanding environments.

/n

Preferred Qualifications

/n

/n

- B.E./B. Tech graduate degree in CS, Electronics etc.

/n

- Experience with large-scale physical lab management and distributed device testing.

/n

- Knowledge of industrial automation tools and diagnostic protocols.

/n

- Exposure to smart building, industrial IoT, or connected device ecosystems.

/n

- Awards or recognition for test automation and quality engineering excellence.
