About the role : Lead the India Software Engineering practice, overseeing the design, build and modernisation of GCP applications, and partner closely with US leadership to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes across both regions.What you need : - 8+ years in software engineering, with deep exposure to building enterprise-grade applications in cloud environments.- 5+ years leading engineering teams, with a track record of success across global, cross-border delivery set-ups.- Strong grounding in software architecture, including cloud-native design principles and up-to-date engineering practices.- Practical command of core GCP services - App Engine, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage and Kubernetes.- Hands-on skills in Java, Python or Node.js, along with familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot or Django.- A solid handle on Agile and DevOps ways of working, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing,



plus strong communication skills across technical and business audiences.What you'll do : - Take ownership of delivery execution, quality benchmarks and project timelines across the India engineering teams.- Plan and manage headcount, capacity, bench allocation and team utilisation for the local practice.- Shape the technical capability roadmap, including upskilling and Google Cloud certification pathways for the team.- Set coding standards, quality frameworks and drive ongoing improvement across the engineering process.- Own local recruitment, performance reviews, career development and retention initiatives across the India team.- Collaborate with global counterparts to maintain consistent delivery standards, support client outcomes and manage escalations.Note : Looking for candidates from IT service-based organisations only.
