On-Prem SQL Server DBA Azure / Hybrid Cloud -

Experience: 5–8 years

Key Responsibilities & Skills:
Robust hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server DBA activities across enterprise production environments.
Expertise in SQL Server installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, maintenance, backup/recovery, security and troubleshooting.
Solid knowledge of performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing, execution plans, blocking, deadlocks and wait-statistics analysis.
Hands-on experience with HA/DR, including Always On Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances, log shipping and replication.
Experience supporting Azure hybrid database environments, including Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
Experience with Azure database migration,



including Azure Migrate and Azure Database Migration Service.
Good understanding of Azure networking, VNets, Private Endpoints, Entra ID/RBAC, Managed Identity and Key Vault from a DBA perspective.
Experience with PowerShell/Azure CLI automation, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
Robust production-support experience covering L2/L3 troubleshooting, incident management, RCA, change management and problem management.
Ability to work with on-prem, Azure, application and data engineering teams in a global offshore support model.
Strong documentation skills, including SOPs, runbooks and DR procedures.
Willingness to participate in on-call/247 support, if required
