Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager – Business Development to support the company’s business growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and achieving business development targets. The role involves both office-based activities and field work , including client visits, meetings, presentations, and other business development activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop current business opportunities to achieve company growth objectives.
- Generate leads through cold calling, referrals, networking, digital platforms, and other business channels.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct field visits and client meetings to understand customer requirements and promote company products and services.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, quotations, and business plans to prospective clients.
- Follow up with leads and prospects and convert opportunities into business.
- Negotiate with clients and assist in closing business deals.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the smooth execution of client requirements.




- Monitor sales and business development activities to ensure the achievement of assigned targets.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and new business opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide relevant market feedback to management.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, client interactions, meetings, follow-ups, and sales activities.
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and field visits.
- Support and guide Business Development Executives in their day-to-day activities.
- Conduct face-to-face meetings, product or service demonstrations, and presentations.
- Travel within the assigned territory for client meetings and business development activities.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team-handling role will be an advantage.
- Willingness to undertake field work and travel for client meetings .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Target-oriented and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
