The Role in Brief
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager (TPM) in India to drive cloud-based software delivery for our higher education client. You will manage distributed engineering squads and ensure seamless global collaboration. This role requires deep, hands-on expertise with Java/Kotlin with Spring, React, PostgreSQL, and AWS to guide technical teams through implementation, debugging, and architectural decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple India-based squads (contract and full time).
- Coach teams on best practices, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Align priorities and facilitate smooth handoffs with U.S. engineering and product leaders.
- Partner with U.S. engineering and product leaders to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
- Participate in architecture/design reviews with architects and senior/junior engineers.
- Assist with code reviews and troubleshooting

- Oversee project lifecycle: planning, backlog grooming, estimation, sprint execution, and release coordination.
- Monitor milestones and proactively resolve risks.
- Represent India teams in cross-functional discussions; ensure transparency and timely status updates.
- Report on KPIs to U.S. engineering leadership
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and skill development.
- Set a high standard for performance and accountability.
Basic Qualifications
- 8–10+ years in software engineering with full-stack development exposure.
- 5+ years in engineering/project management in distributed/global teams.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects from discovery through deployment.

- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
