About the Role
We are building a disruptive mobility platform for users instantly.
We are looking for a Hands-On Technical Lead & Architect to serve as our founding technical pillar. You will own the entire technical roadmap. You will design a highly resilient real-time data scraping/API pipeline, architect the cloud infrastructure, and eventually vet and lead a lean team of developers to bring this platform to life.
This is not a managerial desk job. You must love writing raw code, reverse-engineering endpoints, and solving complex concurrency and latency challenges.
Core Responsibilities
- System Architecture: Architect and deploy a scalable, low-latency backend infrastructure capable of handling thousands of concurrent live-fare requests.
- Data Pipeline Engineering: Design and maintain advanced web scraping, reverse-engineered API integrations, and data extraction pipelines to fetch real-time fare matrices without getting rate-limited or blocked.
- Infrastructure & DevOps:
Set up and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) with heavy emphasis on caching strategies (Redis) and proxy management.
- Product Delivery: Lead the development of our cross-platform mobile application (Flutter / React Native), ensuring a smooth, frictionless UI/UX.
- Team Building: Work closely with the founder to define engineering requirements, write technical tasks, and vet/hire junior backend and mobile developers.
Required Technical Skills
- Backend Expertise: Mastery of Python, Node.js (TypeScript), or Go.
- Data Extraction: Deep experience with Scrapy, Puppeteer/Playwright, proxy rotation networks, and bypassing Cloudflare/anti-bot mechanisms.
- Real-Time Data & Caching: Robust proficiency in Redis, WebSockets, and message brokers (Kafka or RabbitMQ) for instantaneous data streaming.
- Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, EC2, ECS), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Database Management: Experience with high-performance databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) optimized for rapid read/write cycles.
