- Assist in the development and implementation of company-wide accounting policies
- Responsible for research, analysis and documentation associated with technical accounting matters
- Provide accounting guidance for complex transactions
- Preparation of internal financial statement analyses and development of new analyses in response to inquiries from Senior Management and other stakeholders
- Assist in the preparation of monthly bank financial statements
- Monitor, interpret and implement new and emerging accounting standards
- Assist in the financial reporting process, including drafting financial statements and disclosures, and ensuring supporting schedules are accurate
- Participate in special projects as they may arise
- Collaborate closely with the various stakeholders, both internal and external,
Job Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (ICAI), Cost & Management Accountant (ICMAI) or other equivalent professional accounting qualifications like CPA/CIMA will be essential.
- Minimum 3-6 years relevant work experience
- Experience in writing accounting memos is essential
- Robust knowledge of US GAAP is essential
- Ability to work independently or within a group, as needed
- Must be able to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey technical accounting matters to non-accountants and the ability to present to Senior Management
- A self-starter who takes ownership of assigned tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a reputed multinational company or big accounting firms of repute are desired
- Relevant industry experience in commodity trading, energy, oil and gas are preferred
