Position: Consultant – Surgical Gastroenterology
Location: Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh
Qualification:
MCh / DrNB in Surgical Gastroenterology
MBBS + MS/DNB General Surgery
Candidates from a recognized institute
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of post-MCh/DrNB experience
Should be able to independently perform major and routine GI surgeries
Solid preference for candidates with independent operative experience rather than only assisting experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently perform open and laparoscopic GI surgeries
Manage surgeries involving stomach, intestine, colon, rectum, gallbladder, liver and pancreas
Manage emergency GI surgical cases
Pre-operative assessment and post-operative management
Handle OPD/IPD and surgical consultations
Coordinate with Gastroenterology, Critical Care, Radiology and Anaesthesia teams
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions
Maintain surgical documentation and clinical protocols
Key Skills Required:
Solid independent surgical decision-making
Good laparoscopic skills
Ability to independently handle emergency surgical cases
Experience in complex GI procedures
Good patient communication and team-management skills
Ideal Candidate:
A MCh/DrNB Surgical Gastroenterologist with 3+ years post-qualification experience, who is confident in independently operating and managing GI surgical cases.
