Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate, responsible, and community-oriented Teacher & Centre Administrator to support the effective functioning of our education centres at Sarita Vihar and Mewala Maharajpur. The role combines classroom teaching, children's development, community engagement, centre administration, documentation, and coordination. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment while supporting children with their academic, digital, social, emotional, and life-skill development.

Key Responsibilities – Teaching & Learning

- Design and implement lesson plans based on the educational needs, learning levels, and abilities of children.
- Deliver engaging, child-friendly, and activity-based lessons.
- Monitor children's academic progress and provide appropriate support to children who require additional assistance.
- Develop and use locally relevant teaching-learning materials and activities.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles, abilities, and backgrounds.
- Encourage curiosity, participation, creativity, and independent learning among children.

Digital Literacy & Technology

- Introduce children to basic digital literacy and computer skills.
- Teach fundamental computer operations, typing, and responsible use of digital devices.
- Educate children about internet safety, online privacy, responsible digital behaviour, and basic cyber awareness.
- Encourage the safe and meaningful use of technology as a learning tool.

Social, Emotional & Life Skills Development

- Conduct interactive activities that promote children's social and emotional development.
- Encourage teamwork, cooperation, positive communication, confidence, and self-expression.
- Promote critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, teamwork, and self-confidence.
- Create opportunities for children to develop empathy, kindness, respect, and responsibility.

Child Rights, Health & Community Awareness

- Conduct awareness sessions on education, child rights, health, hygiene, nutrition, and child protection.
- Create awareness among children and community members regarding the importance of education and children's well-being.




- Support advocacy for children's rights and encourage positive community participation.
- Engage parents, community members, and local leaders in activities related to children's education and development.
- Promote community ownership and participation in centre activities.
- Collect community feedback and communicate relevant issues, suggestions, and concerns to the program team.

Inclusive & Safe Learning Environment

- Foster a welcoming, secure, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Respect cultural diversity, individual differences, and different learning abilities.
- Promote kindness, empathy, equality, cooperation, and mutual respect among children.
- Ensure that children feel heard, valued, and encouraged to participate.
- Maintain appropriate professional standards of child safety and conduct at the centre.

Centre Activities & Administration

- Assist in planning and executing educational, recreational, awareness, and community activities at the centre.
- Support the day-to-day functioning and organization of the centre.
- Coordinate with the program team, community members, parents, volunteers, and local stakeholders as required.
- Support the preparation and development of locally relevant educational and awareness materials.
- Ensure classroom and learning resources are organized and appropriately maintained.
- Support attendance tracking and other centre-level administrative activities.

Documentation, Records & Reporting

- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, participation, learning progress, and development.
- Maintain records of community interactions, meetings, awareness sessions, and centre activities.
- Prepare regular reports on classroom activities, children's progress, community engagement, and key observations.
- Document challenges, achievements, feedback, and follow-up actions.




- Maintain required administrative and educational documentation in an organized manner.

Team Coordination & Program Improvement

- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving centre activities and community engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers, centre staff, program teams, and community stakeholders.
- Share field-level observations and community feedback to strengthen program implementation.
- Identify challenges affecting children's participation or learning and suggest practical solutions.
- Support the team in improving educational approaches and community engagement strategies.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Humanities, or a related field.
- Prior experience in teaching, community education, child development, NGO/community programs, or centre-based educational activities will be preferred.
- Experience working with children from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds is desirable.
- Experience in community mobilization, awareness programs, or educational centres will be an added advantage.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong teaching and classroom management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in Hindi and English; knowledge of the local language/community context will be an advantage.
- Basic computer and digital literacy skills.
- Ability to prepare lesson plans, educational materials, and reports.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children, parents, community members, and local leaders.
