Veritas Furniture is looking for a detail-oriented Tally Operator to manage day-to-day accounting and inventory entries at our Kolkata manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Tally ERP/Tally Prime and a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily purchase, sales, and expense entries in Tally ERP/Tally Prime
- Maintain accurate stock and inventory records for raw materials and finished goods
- Prepare and reconcile ledgers, journals, and bank statements
- Generate GST-related reports and assist with GST filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B)
- Track accounts payable and receivable
- Coordinate with the accounts and production teams to ensure accurate stock valuation
- Assist in preparing monthly MIS reports and stock summaries
- Maintain proper documentation for audits
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience working with Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic taxation
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Valuable numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or furniture industry setup
- Familiarity with inventory/stock management modules in Tally
- Basic knowledge of e-way bill generation
