Mate Technologies is looking for a hands-on Talent Acquisition & Evaluation Partner to help us consistently find and evaluate robust candidates across Engineering, Product, Growth, QA, Design, and Operations.
The goal of this role is to build a strong candidate pipeline, evaluate candidates using evidence, and ensure that only well-qualified candidates reach the founder interview stage.
You will work across both active and passive hiring, including LinkedIn sourcing, outreach, screening, candidate evaluation, and continuous improvement of our hiring process.
What Success Looks Like
You should consistently
· Evaluate candidates against predefined role success criteria.
· Verify achievements instead of accepting candidate claims at face value.
· Identify strength, capability gaps, risks, weak alignment, and other concerns before founder interviews.
· Evaluate candidates based only on evidence-basis and not gut feeling.
· Proactively identify strong passive candidates.
· Provide structured evaluation report for candidates
· Learn from successful and unsuccessful hires and improve the hiring process.
· Perform some HR operations as secondary responsibility if no workload there

· Capacity: Approximately 40 hours per month
· Location: Remote
· Compensation: Fixed monthly retainer
· Hiring Bonus: Additional flat bonus for each successful hire The exact retainer and hiring bonus will be agreed based on experience and scope.
