About the Role

We're a growing startup looking for a hands-on HR and Finance Manager to build and run our people operations while keeping our day-to-day finances in order. This is a broad, high-ownership role ideal for someone early in their career who wants to wear multiple hats, work closely with leadership, and grow as the company scales. The role leans more toward HR, with finance responsibilities focused on core bookkeeping and coordination.

What You'll Do

Human Resources (primary focus)
Manage the full recruitment cycle: posting roles, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating offers
Own employee onboarding and offboarding to ensure a smooth experience
Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation
Administer payroll inputs, leave, and attendance tracking
Support performance review cycles and help develop HR policies
Be the first point of contact for employee questions and workplace culture initiatives
Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations

Finance (secondary focus)
Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records
Process invoices, expenses, and vendor payments




Assist with payroll processing and reconciliation
Support monthly reporting, budgeting, and cash-flow tracking
Coordinate with external accountants and auditors as needed

What We're Looking For
2–4 years of experience in HR, finance, or a combined operations role
A degree in HR, Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfort handling confidential information with discretion
Positive communication skills and a people-first mindset
Familiarity with HR/payroll tools and basic accounting software (e.g., spreadsheets, QuickBooks, Tally, or similar)
Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable in a rapid-paced startup setting

Nice to Have
Exposure to labor law compliance
Experience in a startup or small-business setting
