Role Overview

We are looking for a warm, attentive, and dependable Support Teacher / Co-Teacher to work alongside our Mother Teacher for Std 1 and 2. This role is the second pair of eyes and hands in the classroom — ensuring every child's safety, comfort, and daily routine is looked after, while giving the Class Teacher a reliable partner in running a well-organised, caring classroom. This role is based at our new CBSE school and offers a meaningful chance to shape the earliest years of a child's school life.

Key Responsibilities

Classroom Discipline & Daily Routine

- Maintain discipline and a calm, orderly environment in the classroom at all times, including during transitions, free periods, and in the temporary absence of the Class Teacher
- Assist children through the school day — assembly, seating, snack/meal times, and washroom breaks — with patience and care
- Model courteous, positive behaviour with children, and keep classroom materials and displays neat, safe, and in good order

Student Safety & Well-Being

- Treat the physical safety of every child as a non-negotiable priority, keeping a close watch near stairs, gates, and playground equipment, and never leaving the class unsupervised
- Attend to a child's minor discomfort promptly and with warmth, escalating to the school nurse or office wherever medical attention may be needed




- Ensure no child is released or dispersed to anyone other than an authorised parent, guardian, or transport personnel, and immediately report any safety concern or dispersal discrepancy

Supporting the Class Teacher

- Work as a dependable partner to the Class Teacher, assisting with craft, activity-based work, and preparation of materials
- Provide a second pair of eyes and hands during examinations, activities, and field trips, and help maintain accurate attendance and student records
- Communicate openly with the Class Teacher, flagging concerns early so issues can be addressed together

Administrative & General Conduct

- Maintain classroom registers, checklists, and routine records as directed by the Class Teacher or school office
- Uphold the values, discipline, and reputation of Tapovan Vidya Vihar, and attend staff meetings and training sessions as required

Eligibility & Qualifications

- Graduate; a background in Early Childhood Care & Education / Nursery Teacher Training is preferred but not mandatory
- Prior experience working with young children (Std 1–2 age group) is an advantage; freshers with the right temperament may also apply
- Fluency in English, Gujarati & Hindi

- Proficient using Microsoft/Google workspace, AI and school ERP system, Smart-board etc.

Work Schedule & Details

Days: Monday to Saturday

Location: Tapovan Vidya Vihar, Plot no. 363, nr. Rajwadu Hotel, opp. Lavanya Sanskrutik Hall, Lavanya Society, Vasna, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380051

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
