Meditrina Hospital, Kollam is inviting applications from experienced IT professionals for the position of System Administrator. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable, secure, and uninterrupted functioning of the hospital’s IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and healthcare applications.

Qualification: B.Sc. Computer Applications / B.Tech in Information Technology or relevant qualification

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain servers, networks, desktops, operating systems, and overall IT infrastructure.
- Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, user accounts, access rights, Group Policies, and related services.
- Ensure smooth functioning of HIS/HMIS, PACS, RIS and other hospital applications.
- Provide technical support to clinical and non-clinical departments and ensure timely resolution of IT issues.
- Monitor LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and internet connectivity.
- Manage data backup, restoration, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, antivirus protection, system updates, and access controls.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, software licenses, hardware records, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with HIS/PACS/software vendors and hardware/network service providers for troubleshooting and upgrades.




- Support integration of hospital systems, diagnostic equipment, and other healthcare IT applications where applicable.
- Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of patient and organizational information.
- Maintain appropriate IT documentation, incident records, system configurations, backup logs, and audit records.
- Support compliance with applicable hospital information-security requirements and NABH standards.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential downtime or infrastructure risks.
- Provide user guidance and basic training on hospital applications and IT security practices.

Preferred Skills: Candidates should have solid knowledge of server administration, networking, Active Directory, firewall/security management, virtualization, backup and disaster recovery, along with hands-on exposure to HIS/HMIS and PACS environments.
