Job Purpose/ Summary





Responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day blast furnace operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production of hot metal in line with plant targets and quality standards. The role includes monitoring process parameters, optimizing furnace performance, coordinating with maintenance and utility teams, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position also involves manpower supervision, production planning, troubleshooting operational issues, minimizing downtime, and maintaining operational excellence to achieve productivity, cost efficiency, and quality objectives within the Metallics.

The Senior Engineer for Support BF Operation WML is tasked with the critical responsibility of managing and overseeing the daily operations of the blast furnace. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe, stable, and efficient production of hot metal, aligning with the plant's targets and quality standards. The engineer will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing process parameters to enhance furnace performance.

Coordination with maintenance and utility teams is essential to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. The role demands strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The engineer will supervise manpower, plan production schedules, troubleshoot operational issues, and maintain operational excellence.

Achieving productivity, cost efficiency, and quality objectives within the Metallics department is a key focus.



The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of performance.
