Role & responsibilities
Supervise daily HSE activities at industrial plant construction sites and ensure compliance with approved safety procedures and site requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
Monitor construction activities such as civil works, structural erection, equipment installation, piping, welding, fabrication, electrical works, and material handling.
Ensure proper implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems for hot work, work at height, confined space, excavation, lifting, electrical work, and other high-risk activities.
Monitor work-at-height activities, including scaffolding, ladders, lifelines, safety harnesses, and proper access arrangements.
Supervise lifting and rigging operations, ensuring proper use of cranes, lifting tools, tackles, and certified equipment.
Ensure compliance with excavation and trench safety requirements, including barricading, access/egress, shoring, and inspection.
Monitor hot work activities such as welding and gas cutting,



ensuring fire prevention measures, fire extinguishers, gas-cylinder handling, and proper work permits.
Inspect scaffolding, ladders, tools, machinery, lifting equipment, and PPE before and during use.
Conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT), Safety Induction, Job Safety Briefings, and awareness sessions for workers and supervisors.
Ensure workers and subcontractors use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per the activity and site requirements.
Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment, HIRA, and Method Statement reviews for construction activities.
Monitor housekeeping, access routes, emergency exits, material storage, and waste management across the worksite.
Coordinate with construction supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, and the HSE team to ensure secure execution of work.

Note : Tamil-speaking candidates will be preferred.
