The Psychologist / Counsellor will be responsible for supporting the emotional, behavioural, social, and psychological wellbeing of students in a Cambridge curriculum workplace. The role will involve student counselling, behavioural support, assessments, parent interaction, teacher coordination, and implementation of student wellbeing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide individual and group counselling to students on academic, emotional, behavioural, social, and personal concerns.

- Identify students requiring additional psychological or emotional support through observations, referrals, and assessments.

- Conduct age-appropriate psychological and behavioural assessments where required.

- Maintain confidential and systematic student counselling records and case documentation.

- Coordinate with teachers, coordinators, and the Principal regarding student concerns and behavioural challenges.

- Conduct parent counselling and consultations related to student wellbeing, behaviour, learning concerns, and developmental needs.

- Support students dealing with academic pressure, anxiety, adjustment issues, peer relationships, confidence concerns, and other age-appropriate challenges.

- Conduct workshops and sessions on wellbeing, life skills, emotional development, mental-health awareness, and social-emotional learning.

- Guide teachers in understanding and managing students with behavioural, emotional, or learning-related concerns.

- Identify cases requiring specialised intervention and coordinate referrals to appropriate external professionals, wherever required.

- Follow school safeguarding, child-protection, confidentiality, and student-support procedures.

- Participate in student-support meetings and contribute to appropriate intervention or Individual Support Plans.





- Prepare periodic counselling reports and provide relevant updates to school leadership while maintaining confidentiality.

- Support the school in creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

Educational Qualification

- Master’s Degree in Psychology / Counselling Psychology / Clinical Psychology from a recognised institution.

- Certification in School Counselling, Child Psychology, or Guidance & Counselling will be an added advantage.

- Relevant professional registration/licensing, where applicable, will be preferred.

Experience

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in school counselling, child psychology, adolescent counselling, or a similar educational setting preferred.

- Experience in Cambridge / International Curriculum schools will be an added advantage.
