Role Description The Structural Designer is responsible for developing and detailing construction drawings and structural layouts for EPCC projects in the petroleum, oil and gas, offshore–onshore, and marine sectors. Day-to-day activities include preparing and revising CAD models, designing steel and concrete structures, coordinating with civil and structural engineers, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.



The role involves collaborating with project managers and other discipline teams to integrate structural designs into overall project deliverables, resolving design issues, and supporting technical documentation.

The Structural

Designer will also participate in design reviews, conduct basic design checks, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong expertise in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering for industrial and infrastructure projects.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Construction Drawings and Steel Design, including detailing of structural elements and connections.
- Candidates should possess advanced skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools relevant to structural and civil design.
- Candidates should possess good knowledge of applicable design codes, standards, and safety regulations for structural engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in EPCC or heavy industrial projects (oil and gas, marine, or similar sectors) is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, perform basic structural calculations, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in an on-site project setting.
