Role & responsibilities:

- Lead strategic sourcing and commodity management for Plastic Parts, Plastic Systems and Trims.

- Develop sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, supply continuity, technology and supplier risk.

- Drive commercial negotiations, cost reduction, VA/VE, value engineering and raw-material cost containment.

- Develop and manage a competitive supplier panel, including alternate source development and supplier localization.

- Drive supplier capacity planning and risk mitigation to ensure uninterrupted business supply.

- Support NPD / new project sourcing, supplier nomination, onboarding and timely project readiness.

- Partner with Product Development, SCM, Manufacturing, Quality and Business teams to meet project and business objectives.

- Identify new technologies, sourcing synergies, process improvements and opportunities for supplier consolidation.

- Drive spend analytics, digital sourcing and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Ensure compliance with procurement policies,



governance and supplier evaluation processes.

Preferred candidate profile:

- 15+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing / Commodity Management / Direct Procurement.

- Engineering graduate in Plastics / Mechanical / Production Engineering; MBA/PG qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement or Operations preferred.

- Strong experience in Automotive / Auto Components / Manufacturing.

- Proven end-to-end ownership of Plastic Parts / Plastic Components / Plastic Systems / Trims commodity.

- Robust exposure to commercial negotiations, cost reduction, VA/VE, supplier development and sourcing strategy.

- Experience in supplier capacity planning, risk management, alternate source development and localization.

- Candidates from Automotive OEMs / Tier-1 Auto Component companies with relevant commodity ownership will be preferred.
