Job Description

We are looking for an experienced DB/Python Application Support Lead with solid expertise in Python, database development, SQL, and application/production support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical experience along with the ability to lead and mentor a team.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of application support professionals.
Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex application and database-related issues.
Develop, enhance, and maintain Python-based scripts/applications supporting business and operational requirements.
Work extensively with databases and SQL for data analysis, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
Monitor application and database performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and other cross-functional teams for issue resolution and application maintenance.
Handle production issues, escalations, root-cause analysis, and problem management.
Coordinate with vendors and external stakeholders for critical/escalated issues.




Create and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge articles.
Conduct knowledge-sharing and training sessions for team members.
Ensure adherence to application support processes, best practices, and service standards.
Stay updated with relevant technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills
Strong hands-on Python programming/scripting experience
Strong database development and SQL skills
Experience in Application Support / Production Support
Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Experience in team handling, mentoring, and technical leadership
Valuable understanding of application performance and incident management
Experience working with cross-functional teams and handling escalations

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in Python + Database/SQL + Production/Application Support environments will be preferred.

Education

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
