At Lighthouse Communities Foundation, we're looking for a State Head – Odisha to lead that journey at scale.

This isn't just an operations role.

You'll lead across multiple centres, work closely with government and ecosystem partners, develop leaders, strengthen operations and ensure that our work on the ground translates into meaningful outcomes for young people.

If you can sit across the table with a government official in the morning, build a partnership with a corporate leader in the afternoon, and spend the evening listening to what young people and field teams need — this could be your next leadership challenge.

What You'll Lead

Lead the State. Scale the Impact.

You will own the strategic and operational performance of the Lighthouse Program across Odisha.

Your role will include

- Leading and scaling operations across multiple Lighthouse Centres.
- Translating state-level strategy into strong centre- and community-level execution.
- Driving outcomes across youth mobilisation, skilling, placements, livelihoods and alumni engagement.
- Building systems that improve quality, consistency, efficiency and scalability.
- Using data and field insights to understand what's working, what's not, and what needs to change.
- Ensuring that the Lighthouse experience remains safe, inclusive, welcoming and youth-centric across locations.

Build Partnerships That Create Opportunity

Youth transformation doesn't happen in isolation.

It takes an ecosystem.

You will build and nurture relationships with:

- Government departments and district administration.
- Corporates and CSR partners.
- Employers and industry networks.
- NGOs, donors, training and livelihood partners.
- Community leaders and other ecosystem stakeholders.

You'll represent Lighthouse in government reviews, partner meetings, external forums and strategic conversations — building relationships that translate into real opportunities for young people.

You'll strengthen pathways that help young people move from:

Learning → Skills → Employment → Income → Sustainable Livelihoods

This includes

- Expanding employer and placement partnerships.
- Strengthening entrepreneurship and self-employment pathways.
- Identifying emerging livelihood opportunities.
- Building recent ecosystem partnerships.
- Supporting fundraising and donor engagement.
- Ensuring program delivery translates into measurable youth outcomes.

You'll be expected to move comfortably between strategy and execution, understanding both the big picture and what it takes to make things work on the ground.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications

- Master's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Management, Education or a related discipline preferred.
- 10 years of relevant experience in NGO leadership, community development, livelihoods, skilling, education, employability or social impact programs.

Experience & Capabilities

We're looking for demonstrated experience in:

- Leading multi-location programs and cross-functional teams.
- Program and operations management.
- Working with government stakeholders and district-level administration.
- Building and managing strategic partnerships.
- Youth skilling,



employability, livelihoods or community development.
- Leading through influence, ambiguity and complexity.
- Negotiation, communication and stakeholder management.
- Presentation and relationship-building.
- MS Office and Google Workspace.
