Role Overview

CCIE seeks a passionate and driven Startup Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in evaluating incoming startup applications, assess founding teams and ideas, and deliver sharp L1 (first-level) screening feedback. The ideal candidate will understand business fundamentals, market analysis, and the startup landscape. You will conduct in-depth discussions with founders, analyze their business models, and provide valuable insights that help them take their game forward.

This is a high-ownership, high-learning role for someone who wants to develop real pattern recognition around startups understanding what separates an interesting idea from a scalable business and a promising startup from an investable one.

Key Responsibilities

Startup and Idea Evaluation

- Review and evaluate incoming startup applications across problem, solution, market, business model, competition, team and traction
- Conduct primary and secondary research on sectors, market opportunities, comparable startups and emerging trends
- Assess idea viability, founder strength, market potential and early traction signals
- Conduct structured discussions with founders to understand the business beyond the pitch deck
- Identify critical assumptions, risks, gaps and unanswered questions
- Present explicit,



structured L1 recommendations , backed by research and rationale
- Help build and maintain a consistent and defensible startup evaluation framework

Founder Support & Venture Building

- Work closely with shortlisted and onboarded startups throughout their CCIE journey
- Challenge founders to think deeper about their customers, markets, business models and competitive advantage
- Help startups sharpen their pitch, positioning, business model and go-to-market strategy
- Identify gaps that need to be addressed before investor conversations
- Support founders in preparing for Demo Days, investor pitches and ecosystem opportunities

Build Startup Pipeline

- Maintain application/evaluation data and pipeline status in an organized, trackable format
- Contribute to periodic reporting on pipeline health, conversion rates, and cohort quality
- Surface insights that can help team continuously improve how it identifies and supports high-potential ventures

Who we are looking for: We are looking for someone who is curious, analytical and genuinely obsessed with understanding businesses.

- 2–3 years of relevant experience in venture capital, startup incubation/acceleration, venture research, business analysis, founder’s office or an early-stage startup
- Strong ability to independently research and assess an unfamiliar business, sector or market, not merely summarize information
- Sound understanding of business models, market sizing, competition, GTM and early-stage startup fundamentals
- Comfort working with ambiguity and making structured assessments with incomplete information
- A genuine interest in startups, entrepreneurship and venture investing
- Strong verbal communication skills
