Core Duties & Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care & Monitoring

- Assess health status: Conduct physical exams and continuously monitor patient recovery.
- Track vital signs: Measure and record temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Maintain personal hygiene: Assist patients with bathing, mouth care, bed making, and preventing pressure sores.
- Manage nutrition: Assess nutritional needs and feed helpless or critical patients.

Clinical & Technical Duties

- Administer medications: Safely give oral drugs, intravenous (IV) infusions, and injections as prescribed.
- Assist physicians: Help doctors during medical examinations, diagnostic tests, and surgical procedures.
- Gather lab specimens: Collect and label blood, urine, or tissue samples for laboratory analysis.
- Operate medical equipment: Manage oxygen therapy, catheters, and emergency crash carts.

Ward Management & Administration

- Maintain medical records: Update patient charts, treatment plans, and incident reports meticulously.
- Shift handovers:



Conduct thorough bed-to-bed handovers regarding patient statuses and drug inventories.
- Enforce hygiene protocols: Follow strict infection control guidelines to keep environments protected.

Communication & Education

- Educate patients: Instruct families on disease prevention, post-discharge care, and medication schedules.
- Coordinate care: Act as the vital communication link between doctors, specialists, and the patient's family.
