Job Summary The ICU Staff Nurse is responsible for providing direct, high-level critical care to adult patients with life-threatening conditions. The role involves continuous monitoring, operating complex medical machinery, administering high-alert medications, and working closely with intensivists to maintain patient stability.

Key Responsibilities

- Critical Monitoring &
- Care:

Continuously monitor vital signs, hemodynamic status, and cardiac rhythms using advanced bedside monitors; report acute changes immediately.

- Ventilator &

- Airway Management:

Manage mechanical ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP systems, endotracheal tubes, and tracheostomies; assist in bedside intubations and extubations.

- Medication Administration: Calculate, titrate, and administer high-alert critical care infusions (inotropes, vasopressors, sedatives, antiarrhythmics) via infusion pumps.

- Bedside Procedures: Assist intensivists with bedside procedures including central line insertions, arterial lines, chest tube placements, and lumbar punctures.

- Infection Control &

- Hygiene:

Maintain strict aseptic techniques,



bundle care practices (VAP, CLABSI, CAUTI prevention), pressure injury management, and total patient hygiene care.

- Documentation &

- Handover:

Maintain precise flow sheets, intake/output charts, and nursing notes; conduct structured SBAR clinical handovers during shift changes.

Educational &

- Skill Requirements

- Qualification: B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing / GNM from a recognized institute.

- Registration: Valid Nursing Council Registration.

- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or High Dependency Unit (HDU).

- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certified.

- Key Competencies: Hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, swift emergency response, critical thinking, and emotional resilience under pressure.

Pay: ₹8,500.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
