Job Summary In this role, you will lead teams to design and build cloud-native applications based on architectural best practices. You will mentor and coach a talented engineering team to undertake challenging digital transformation and application modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Design Cloud-Native Solutions: Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications for the cloud.
- Enhance solution agility, security, availability, and scalability.
- Application Modernization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, strategize, and execute modernization of existing applications.
- Ensure seamless migration to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Migration Planning and Execution: Plan and execute smooth application migrations from on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments.
- Minimize disruptions to business operations during migration.
- Architecture Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of application architectures to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop modernization roadmaps tailored to each cloud platform.
- Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployments.
- Enable faster release cycles and streamlined app updates.
- Security and Compliance: Maintain a strong focus on security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Ensure data protection and regulatory adherence throughout the modernization process.
- Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks in modernized applications.
- Optimize applications to achieve optimal efficiency and response times.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create comprehensive documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and post-migration analysis.
- Communicate project status and outcomes to stakeholders effectively.
- Team and Project Management: Guide, mentor, and lead a team of software engineers in an Agile setting.




- Act as the point of contact for higher management and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in developing cloud-native applications across environments like Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Experience in other distributed architectures is also considered.
- Proficiency in working with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Expertise in containers, orchestration, microservices, serverless functions, and cloud service models.
- Ability to design for reliability, security, cost optimization, performance, and operational excellence.
- Proficiency in platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with defining SLI/SLO/SLA metrics.
- Experience in building systems based on SRE principles is desirable.
- Hands-on full-stack development experience with multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, Go, Rust, Swift, Kotlin, etc., along with matching frameworks and libraries.
- Experience in implementing testing and debugging frameworks for microservices.
- Ability to design test suites and ensure coverage using techniques like unit testing, integration testing, system testing, contract testing, and performance testing.
- Solid experience in API development and testing.
- Ability to design and implement complex integrations with a focus on security and performance.
- Proven leadership qualities and experience working with diverse stakeholders.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies and tools like Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Azure Boards, etc., to manage project lifecycles and deliver customer value.
- While certifications are not mandatory, they are valued. Any upskilling initiatives undertaken will be considered.
