About the Role The Sr. Engineer – Color Components will be the senior technical owner of a portfolio of reusable software components used across AkzoNobel's internal and customer-facing Color Technology applications.

The person will

- Develop and maintain reusable .NET libraries, NuGet packages, APIs and services .
- Ensure components are scalable, modular, well-documented, versioned and production-ready .
- Provide senior technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
- Own the technical approach, architecture, quality and lifecycle of the component portfolio.
- Work closely with the Product Owner, R&D;, QA and internal/external engineering teams .
- Act as the Technical Application Manager (TAM) for the Scrum team.
- Drive engineering standards, CI/CD, testing, security, release management and technical-debt reduction

AkzoNobel's Technology Integration Team develops and productizes reusable Color Technology Components that power internal and customer-facing applications across the global paints and coatings business. We are looking for a Sr. Engineer – Color Components who will be responsible for the technical delivery, architecture, quality and lifecycle management of a portfolio of reusable software components, including .NET libraries/NuGet packages, APIs, services and supporting utilities .

This is a senior individual contributor and technical leadership role requiring strong hands-on software engineering experience along with the ability to mentor engineers and drive engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the technical delivery and lifecycle of reusable software components.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers.
- Conduct code reviews, design reviews and technical planning .
- Define and enforce standards for coding, testing, documentation and CI/CD.
- Design and maintain APIs, services and reusable .NET components .




- Manage component versioning, backward compatibility, dependencies and release lifecycle.
- Drive technical-debt remediation, dependency upgrades and security improvements.
- Partner with Product Owners to translate requirements into technically implementable solutions.
- Lead technical delivery for mid-sized projects.
- Ensure appropriate unit, integration, contract and regression testing.
- Drive release readiness, documentation and operational readiness.
- Support production issues, incident triage and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with R&D; teams to translate scientific/domain requirements into engineering specifications.
- Work with internal and external engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum workplace.
- Act as the Technical Application Manager (TAM) for the Scrum team.

Candidate Profile We are looking for a hands-on senior software engineer/technical lead who has experience building and owning reusable software components, libraries, APIs or services.

The candidate should be comfortable taking technical ownership , making design decisions, mentoring engineers and ensuring that software components are scalable, maintainable, secure and production-ready.

Prior Color Science or Paints & Coatings experience is not mandatory.
