Key Responsibilities:
Define & own the overall cloud architecture, technology stack & infrastructure strategy for the OPOP platform across environments (Dev/UAT/Production/DR).
Design cloud infrastructure topology, networking, storage, security layers & compute resources on a MeitY-empanelled cloud (e.g., AWS).
Set standards & guardrails for scalability, availability, security & cost-efficiency, to be implemented by the Cloud/DevOps team.
Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices, monitoring/logging/alerting for infrastructure observability, and disaster recovery/backup strategy.
Drive cloud security architecture, identity/access management, encryption & compliance with CERT-In advisories & DPDP Act, 2023.
Support CI/CD pipeline integration, cloud-native automation & multi-environment governance for the phased OPOP rollout.
Own architectural decisions for scalability, security & cost-efficiency across the platform's 5-year lifecycle (Development & O&M; phases).

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT,



MSc CS or related field.
12+ years of experience designing & managing cloud infrastructure, with robust hands-on experience on AWS/Azure/GCP.
Experience with containerization (Docker) & orchestration (Kubernetes), and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Ansible or equivalent).
Strong understanding of virtual networks, load balancers, firewalls, storage & cloud security configurations for Government-grade platforms.
Familiarity with API gateways, service-mesh & microservices-oriented architecture, and logging/monitoring stacks (ELK/EFK, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
Awareness of data-protection laws, CERT-In guidelines, encryption standards & IAM/RBAC policies applicable to citizen-facing Government platforms.
Certifications (desirable): AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Qualified) / Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert / Google Skilled Cloud Architect / CKA or equivalent.
