Senior Staff Software Engineer. We have an opportunity for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our SaaS Platform Engineering team in Pune, India, reporting to a Senior Manager, Software Engineering. This hybrid role requires two days per week in the Pune office.

In this role, you will provide technical leadership for the design, development, and operation of core platform services that power Infoblox networking and security products. You will own complex technical problems across multiple functional areas, influence platform architecture and technical direction, and help deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and operable SaaS capabilities. You will collaborate with engineering leaders, architects, product managers, quality engineering, site reliability, security, and customer-facing teams.

Be a Contributor - What You ll Do

- Lead the technical direction and end-to-end delivery of complex platform initiatives spanning multiple services or functional areas
- Design and evolve scalable, resilient, secure, and maintainable cloud-native architectures for SaaS platform services
- Drive architecture and design decisions that improve platform reliability, performance, operability, cost efficiency, and long-term maintainability
- Build and review high-quality production software using Go and up-to-date software engineering practices,



with the flexibility to contribute in other languages when appropriate
- Establish engineering approaches for APIs, microservices, data access, asynchronous messaging, observability, testing, deployment, and incident response
- Partner with product management, architecture, quality engineering, DevOps, security, and customer escalation teams to shape requirements, roadmap priorities, and delivery plans
- Identify systemic technical risks, resolve complex production issues, lead root- cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions
- Influence technical standards, development practices, and platform capabilities across teams; create reusable tools, libraries, patterns, and documentation that improve developer efficiency
- Mentor and guide senior engineers, strengthen technical leadership across the team, and contribute to hiring and development of engineering talent
- Apply AI-assisted development tools and emerging AI capabilities responsibly to improve engineering productivity, quality, and the delivery of customer value

Be Prepared - What You Bring

- Twelve or more years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience designing and delivering distributed SaaS or cloud platforms




- Expert-level proficiency in Go or another modern programming language, with strong software design, architecture, and debugging skills
- Demonstrated experience leading the design and implementation of complex systems spanning multiple services, teams, or product areas
- Robust experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, API design, data modeling, concurrency, resiliency, and performance engineering
- Experience with REST and gRPC, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, caching technologies such as Redis, and messaging systems such as Kafka
- Internal Proven ownership of production systems, including observability, SLOs and SLIs, automated testing, CI/CD, on-call support, incident response, and post-incident improvement
- Strong ability to influence architecture and technical direction through clear written communication, design reviews, and cross-functional collaboration
- Demonstrated record of mentoring engineers and creating an environment that raises technical standards and enables others to grow
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field; a master s degree is a plus
