Job Summary

Senior Software Engineer. We have an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our SaaS Platform Engineering team in Pune, India, reporting to a Senior Manager, Software Engineering. This hybrid role requires two days per week in the Pune office.

In this role, you will design, develop, and support complex platform services that power Infoblox networking and security products. You will own significant features or functional areas from requirements through production, contribute to architecture and technical planning, and help the team deliver scalable, secure, reliable, and operable SaaS capabilities. You will collaborate with architects, senior engineers, product managers, quality engineering, site reliability, security, and customer-facing teams.

Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end design and implementation of complex features or a significant functional area within the SaaS platform
- Design and evolve maintainable, scalable, secure, and resilient services using modern cloud-native engineering practices
- Translate product and technical requirements into clear designs, implementation plans, test strategies, and production-ready software
- Build and review high-quality software using Go and contribute in other languages when appropriate
- Develop and integrate REST and gRPC APIs, microservices, data access layers, asynchronous workflows, and service integrations
- Collaborate with architects, product management, quality engineering, DevOps, security, and customer escalation teams to resolve complex technical challenges
- Lead root-cause analysis for difficult defects and production issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Improve service observability, automated testing, deployment practices,



performance, reliability, and operational readiness
- Participate actively in design and code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify technical debt and opportunities for improvement
- Use AI-assisted software development tools responsibly for activities such as code generation, test creation, debugging, code review, and technical documentation

Requirements

- Eight or more years of professional software engineering experience, including experience delivering distributed services or cloud-based platforms
- Strong proficiency in Go or another up-to-date programming language, with solid software design and debugging skills
- Demonstrated experience owning complex features or a substantial functional area from design through production
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, API design, data modeling, concurrency, resiliency, and performance engineering
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
- Familiarity with REST and gRPC, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, caching technologies such as Redis, and messaging systems such as Kafka
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, observability, incident response, and production operations
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and workflows, including responsible use of code-generation, test-generation, debugging, review, or documentation capabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and coordinate effectively across teams

Education/Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field a master's degree is a plus
