About us

Cozy Corner Patios runs ZIPCushions (custom, made-to-measure cushions and pet beds) and ZIPCovers (custom covers for furniture and equipment, tarps and storage bags). They are premium, direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands selling mainly to US customers. Every product is made to order, so customers do a lot of research before they buy. That makes smart, full-funnel marketing essential to how we grow.

Role summary

You will own organic growth for ZIPCushions and ZIPCovers, covering technical SEO, content, on-page and authority. Your goal is organic revenue, not only traffic. You will help both brands win high-intent keywords for custom and replacement products, keep them from competing for the same keywords, and get the brands cited in AI search results such as Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT.

Key responsibilities

- Own the SEO strategy and roadmap for both brands, prioritised by revenue impact.
- Lead technical SEO: Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS), crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, structured data (Product, Review, FAQ, Organization) and sitemaps. Work closely with developers on fixes.
- Own keyword strategy and topic clusters. Map search intent to the right page type (collection, product, guide) and prevent overlap between the two brands and between pages.
- Build and manage the content engine: briefs, editorial calendar, writer/agency management, and quality control against our content guidelines and E-E-A-T standards.
- Optimise collection and product pages for commercial keywords: titles, meta tags, copy, FAQs, image SEO and schema.
- Grow authority through digital PR, partnerships and link acquisition. Avoid spammy links.
- Drive AI-search visibility (GEO): content that AI tools can cite, brand mentions, and access for AI crawlers.
- Measure and report: GSC, GA4 and rank tracking.



Tie keywords and pages to revenue, and explain changes (seasonality vs real decline) clearly.
- Work with Performance Marketing on paid and organic search together, and with the e-commerce team on site changes and launches.
- Run SEO QA for site releases and migrations so rankings don't drop after a change.

Must-have requirements

- 8+ years in SEO, with 3+ years leading strategy for e-commerce sites.
- Must have hands-on experience marketing to US customers: US search behaviour, seasonality, and competitors.
- Hands-on Shopify SEO experience: theme/Liquid SEO fixes, collection and product templates, duplicate URLs, apps affecting speed, and Shopify schema.
- Solid technical SEO: can diagnose CWV, rendering, indexation and canonical issues and write clear developer tickets.
- Proven record of growing organic revenue, not just traffic. Be ready to walk through real examples with numbers.
- Expert with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog (or similar) and one major SEO suite (Ahrefs, Semrush or DataForSEO).
- Experience building content strategies and managing writers or agencies at scale.
- Understanding of schema markup and e-commerce site architecture (collections, filters, faceted navigation).
- Clear communicator who can explain SEO priorities in simple business terms.

Nice to have

- Experience with AI Overviews / generative engine optimisation.
- Basic HTML/CSS/JS and comfort with APIs or Python / Sheets for SEO data work.
- Experience with multi-brand or multi-domain SEO.
- Digital PR / link-building campaign experience.

KPIs you will own

- Organic revenue and conversions (GA4)
- Non-brand clicks and impressions (GSC)
- Rankings / share of voice on priority commercial keyword clusters
- Core Web Vitals pass rate on key templates
- Share of organic traffic landing on revenue-generating pages
